Under the Public Economics Department, there is Interdisciplinary Public Finance Master's Program with thesis, which has been accepting students since 2019. The primary purpose of the program is both to help students generate academic knowledge by carrying out scientific research and papers in the field of Public Finance and to enable them to analyze and interpret this knowledge in order to create value added for and contribute to social welfare.
Students registered in the program can be appointed to research assistant positions at public or foundation universities. Graduates of the program can also work as lecturers in the same institutions. Graduates of the program are mainly employed in the public sector such as the Ministry of Finance and the Court of Accounts. In addition, they can be assigned in administrative units and inspection boards of public institutions. Besides public sector, they can work in the accounting and finance departments of private sector companies as well as performing professions such as independent accountant, financial adviser, district governor and administrative judge.
Students who successfully complete the program can apply for a doctoral degree in the field of Public Finance or in other disciplines that accept students from this field.
